Hands up who lined up to see the amazing buildings of Melbourne? Of course the Manchester Unity was the most popular (some people waiting 3 hours!) I was lucky to not have to wait that long butis was worth lining up for. To see the grand boardroom and the beatuiful detailing up close was very inspiring. What I loved most was The Donkey Wheel House. The birth of our tram system was from cable cars and the sense of history you gain from walking around this building and knowing what was acheived is quite humbling. Melbourne Open House is only on once a year. Most buildings have full time access to certain areas and others you need to book a guided tour.
