I was at a clients house yesterday doing a shoot when she walked past and said ” ooo I like the Rhinosaurus”. At first we were silent till we realised she had no idea she had said the wrong word, then laughed till we cried (you had to be there!)
But in the end, she became attached to our little friend and he now has a home instead of going back to the shop.
So if anyone says ‘ have you seen a Rhinosaurus?’, well now you can say you have.

Well obviously this artist took the sky as his inspiration!!! It was a rainy, miserable day today in Melbourne and when I dropped in to see the team at Hermon & Hermon I saw these gorgeous fluffy clouds disguised at pendant lighting.

As you can see, inspiration happens even on a rainy day.

I am on a job at the moment and while going over details with the ‘sparkys’ they where taking out the downlights to move position, and they found this!

Please check your existing downlights to make sure this isn't happening!

This is why fire & safety regulations are instilled in our country.  Remember all the fires you hear about from ceiling downlights, well this is why houses go up in flames.  These downlights were installed only three years ago (as the owners let us know) and no cowl cover was put over them.  As you can see in the picture the ‘blow-in’ insulation has been settling near the downlight and is a little fried.  It is a miracle this ceiling hasn’t gone up in flames and I feel the owners are pretty lucky they were doing the renovations as we have diverted a serious house fire.

Please protect your family and make sure any downlights have the fire & safety regulator covers on them.

Regulation covers are essential for you and your family's safety.

I came across this project on Handyman for adapting your kitchen cupboards.This is a great project to hang onto if you don’t get the time to as you can increase the function of your kitchen in a weekend without having to go through the whole expense of renovating your kitchen.

You could take it even further and put dividers in the drawers for cutlery and that huge collection of kitchen utensils that rattle around in the drawer.

All that fresh air deserves lunch and at Daylesford you almost get a headache trying to make a decision which one to go to they are all so great. But we loved the look of this one.
Autumn sunshine and sidewalk cafes means you dont have to talk, just take it all in.
Perfection on a plate.
All that was left to do was read the Saturday papers and mags and slink into the hammock for a nap.
And toast the end of another great day with a fire and champagne.

I had the whole weekend to myself which was bliss after an insane week of work and travel, hubby away doing Tough Mudder, son away with his mates and I had set myself up with a movie, dinner on my lap and……’screech’, Earth Hour!  Just me and dog and she wasnt up for conversation, so what to do?

That look is totally says - 'do not disturb'!!!!

I had all the candles going (I had to change the flameless candles as they were on a timer for later in the evening) and decided a perfect time for a DIY facial, paint my nails and toes and lie there and take it all in.  After TWO hours of chill’n by myself I put the computer back on, put on the movie and kept all the lights off.   If I was in my twenties this possibly could have been the saddest night of my life but peace on a Saturday these days is not too bad!

From all my relaxing I forgot to take a pic at night so these were taken the next day. And still look beautiful in daylight.
